The researchers stayed in Durango all week and they were able to complete and present the information collected 'in situ' through a workshop with different agents. The mayor, Mireia Elkororibe, explained that ‘this is a very interesting collaboration that allows us to benefit from the knowledge and experience of these young researchers to be able to subsequently apply the solutions they design in the areas of mobility and sustainability in Durango.’

Dutch students have launched two programmes. In the first, lasting four months, three third-year students work on the implementation of a shared bicycle system, bicycle parking and green spaces. In the second, titled 'Minor in International Urban Redevelopment', urban planning experts will develop a specific plan for Durango.

These projects are also being carried out simultaneously in Vancouver (Canada) and will be presented at BUas in April 2024. They will subsequently be made available to the Durango City Council for possible real application.
