Breda and 's-Hertogenbosch are working on more attractive, accessible, healthy and sustainable inner cities; A dynamic environment, where people like to live, to work, to come and become more active. In this way, the development of “Smart Cities” provides the opportunity to tackle the challenges toward the mentioned objectives. By developing smart tools that link, visualize and use data for development scenarios, the data-driven insights about the traffic flow towards the city centers will be achieved. In this project the focus is on the further development of existing innovations such as digital twins, to analyse and illustrate the current and future situation of inner cities traffic flows under the effects of scenarios towards the goal of the policies.

Within the project BUas has two roles:

  • Together with JADS BUas is responsible to shape education and courses for professionals on this topic. How can you work with data and how you can use these data to solve issues. 
  • Training students to work with data but also learn to ask the right questions so that they can perform the translator function between the data expert and the domain expert.
