DVECE (Dynamic Visualizations to Enhance Citizens Engagement) tests an innovative application of dynamic visualization tools in citizen engagement.
Built Environment

Modern technology provides new opportunities in reaching citizens and improving efficiency of co-creation processes. DVECE tests the application of dynamic visualizations to enhance citizens engagement in the mobility context. Through a series of ideation, co-creation and validation/ evaluation workshops within 3 living labs, DVECE collects, prioritizes and matches mobility needs set by different groups of vulnerable users in a neighbourhood, with policy plans and real time data incorporated in Digi Twins.

The Dutch pilot will be organised within the Urban living lab Breda, with a specific focus on Hoge Vucht neighbourhood; a very multicultural district with many inhabitants having low annual income and benefitting from social help. BUAS as a partner within Urban Living Lab Breda will contribute to the bridging of the gap between the bottom-up inhabitants mobility needs and the mobility plans and open data information through the development of dynamic visualisations available on the neighbourhood level. It will test how the crowdsources citizens data can be visualised in the Digital Twins and used for the enhanced citizens engagement process and for the evidence-based mobility planning.
